Famous Japanese Manga Series “Tiger Mask” Will Feature in an Exciting Live-Action Movie

“Tiger Mask” transitions from the heart-pounding manga rings to the worldwide silver screen thanks to an innovative partnership between Italian studio Fabula Pictures, Japan’s Kodansha, and Brandon Box.
The renowned manga follows the exploits of Naoto Date, a ruthless Japanese wrestler who rises to prominence in the American wrestling scene before returning home and wearing the “Tiger Mask” mask to battle evil opponents.

This story of bravery, which began with its 1969 debut, has become a timeless hero and a respected figure in Italy and Japan.


“Tiger Mask is a long-beloved figure both in Japan and Italy, where he’s been [considered] a strong, cool, and timeless hero since the series’ first release in 1969,” says Yohei Takami, Kodansha’s head of media business rights, expressing the same zeal.


This inspiring collaboration between Kodansha, Brandon Box, and Fabula Pictures aims to write a new chapter in the history of “Tiger Mask,” creating a global adaptation that will enthrall viewers everywhere. Fabula Pictures, known for Netflix originals like “Baby” and the compelling biopic “Il Divin Codino,” is making its first foray into the manga world with this project.
