A new key image and video for The Unwanted Undead Adventurer, a forthcoming TV anime adaptation, have been released. Based on novels by Yu Okano and illustrated by Jaian, the series will have its Japanese premiere on January 8, 2024, and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll as part of the anime lineup for the winter of 2024.

For the past ten years, Rentt Faina has been a monster hunter. Sadly, he’s trapped chasing slimes and goblins for a few coins every day and isn’t very good at his profession. His luck changes as he stumbles into an uncharted route. He perishes at the end of the route in the fabled dragon’s maw. But when he awakens, he’s an undead skeleton! His goal is to return to the realm of the living and attain existential evolution.
